19th Century Architects Model of a Sash Window

Description

A very fine, fully working miniature sash window in mahogany with perfectly scaled brass fitments, the brass knob can be turned to lock or unlock the fully adjustable ratcheted windows which operate in perfect unison. The level of detail is remarkable, right down to the windows being traditionally glazed with putty.

Possibly a glazier or joiner's advertising displays/salesman sample.

Circa 1875.
