Brief Description:
 
This is a superb Original Oil on Panel Painting depicting the young Royal Prince Alfred and Princess Helena dressed in Scottish tartan within an extensive highland setting.
 
Painted during the 1950s in homage to the original work that was painted in 1849 by the German artist Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-1873).
 
It is an exceptionally well-painted copy that has delightful and subtle differences.
 
It is mounted within the original, fabulous quality, deeply-dished and gadrooned gesso moulded frame.
