Antique Early Oak Furniture 17thc Joined Stool. English C1660-70.

One of the best oak ''joyned'' stool''s I have bought in a long time....it dates to the second half of the 17thc, with simple thumbnail moulding to the edge of the thick top... above solid side rails with delicate run mouldings....it has stout legs nicely turned with a ''sausage and cotton reel'' shape, united by plain stretchers....it even still retains its original toes....very often missing..... in very good condition for its age, with a superb colour and patination.

English. C1660-70.
