Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Named after its botanical resemblance to the Arisaema triphyllum plant, a Jack in the Pulpit vase features a narrow stem that expands into a flared, turned-down rim. Cranberry glass was produced extensively during the 19th century by introducing gold chloride into molten glass to achieve its signature pink-red hue.

Victorian cranberry glass was hand-blown by glassmakers who added gold salts to clear glass melt to achieve the coloration. Decorative features, including ruffled rims, fluted stems, and clear glass feet, were applied manually while the glass remained molten.

Authentic 19th-century cranberry glass often features subtle variations in glass thickness, tiny air bubbles, and pontil marks on the base where the piece was detached from the blowpipe. The density of the pink tint may also vary slightly across hand-blown items.

These glass objects are suited to positioning on window sills, mantelpieces, or sideboards where natural light highlights their colour and texture. They can be displayed as a symmetrical pair or grouped with other period art glass for display.

Wash antique glass gently using lukewarm water and mild detergent with a non-abrasive cloth, drying immediately with a soft towel. Dishwashers should be avoided, as high temperatures and strong detergents can dull or damage historical glass surfaces.
