Circa late 19th century to early 20th century, wood carved, pair of male and female, articulated lay figures, originating from France.
At 80cm high, these artist''s mannequins are a mix of academic utility and folk art expressionism. Their facial features, fingers and toes are simply, yet finely carved and the patina across both figures is stunning. Both are in excellent condition.
