Description

A very good Worcester porcelain tea bowl and saucer, printed with the ever popular "Fisherman" pattern. Disguised numerals marks to the bases, David/Flight period, c.1785.

A small size for this period, the tea bowl measures 7.8cm (3") wide and 4.5cm (1 7/8") high and the saucer is 12.8cm (4 7/8") wide.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. The printing is particularly well executed with lovely clear details throughout.

First Period Worcester porcelain refers to ceramics produced by the Worcester Tonquin Manufacture between 1751 and 1783 under the direction of Dr John Wall and his partners.
