Edwardian Satinwood Wardrobe

Description

A good quality antique satinwood single wardrobe with a warm honey-toned finish, decorative carved cornice detail and central mirrored door.

The wardrobe has a compact but useful design, with internal hanging rails and a long lower drawer for additional storage. It comes apart in three sections for ease of transport and delivery.

The original side-to-side hanging rail appears to have been removed, with two front-to-back hanging rails fitted instead.

A practical antique bedroom piece with attractive grain, decorative detail and a useful mirrored front.

Condition

Good antique condition with general age-related wear, and signs of use throughout.

There is wear to the finish in places, including marks to the lower front ledge and general surface wear as shown. The mirror plate shows age-related spotting/foxing. There is a visible split/repair line near the top area by the mirror/door frame, shown in the photos.

Interior shows expected age-related marks and wear. The wardrobe remains solid, usable and practical.
