A Stunning Art Nouveau WMF Silver Plated Wall Plaque features two classical, Bacchic figures arranged in a dramatic, intimate scene. A sculptural grapevine canopy with leaves and clustered fruit crowns the top, reinforcing the wine-harvest theme. The relief work is high and finely modelled, with careful attention to anatomy, drapery folds, and wing texture. The plaque is framed by a shaped outline with a stepped lower border and stylised corner motifs. Marked on the reverse for maker ‘WMF’ – circa 1900.
