CAROLINE BURNETT (1877-1950) was an American-born artist who studied in Paris towards the earlier part of her career; she was known for her Impressionist street scenes of Paris.

Her painting style reflected the contemporary movement that was occurring in France during her time there.

She was a member of the Societe de Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she exhibited her works in 1898.

A beautiful large scale original oil on canvas painting of a Parisian street scene with the Eiffel Tower prominent in the background.

This painting perfectly depicts life in the ''''City of Lights'''' with its restaurants, busy streets, cafes and wonderful architecture.
