Richardsons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
A large and authentic Chinese altar table dating to the late Qing dynasty (c.1850–1900), constructed in solid elm hardwood with a deep, naturally worn patina.

Traditional mortise-and-tenon construction throughout, with pierced corner spandrels and integral drawer framing.
The surface retains layered lacquer with age-related wear, losses and softening consistent with long-term use, adding warmth and character.

Structurally sound and visually strong.
A highly decorative and versatile piece, ideal as a console, sideboard or statement interior element.
