Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Jewellery from this era is defined by abstract shapes, heavy surface texturing, and asymmetrical composition. Designers favoured sculptural metalwork that treated precious metals as fine art mediums rather than conventional gem settings.

Mid-century Modernist rings were typically crafted from high-carat yellow gold or platinum, frequently featuring bark or wire lattice finishes. Gemstones such as rubies, sapphires, and diamonds were integrated directly into the metal structure.

Authentic pieces often carry maker marks, date letters, or purity hallmarks indicating the exact year and origin of manufacture. Additionally, hand-finished texturing and organic casting techniques are key indicators of period craftsmanship.

A Modernist statement ring functions as a standalone focal piece when paired with minimalist, clean-lined tailored clothing. Combining structured metalwork with neutral tones allows the sculptural detail and gemstone accents to stand out.

Textured gold surfaces should be cleaned gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled toothbrush to remove debris from intricate crevices. Harsh chemical cleaners and ultrasonic baths should be avoided to prevent damage to gemstone settings.
