Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Georgian Revival furniture produced during the Edwardian period draws design inspiration from eighteenth-century cabinetmakers such as Chippendale, Hepplewhite, and Sheraton. Key features include classical proportions, high-grade mahogany timbers, delicate marquetry or stringing inlays, and architectural elements like swan-neck pediments and geometric astragal glazing.

High-end Edwardian pieces were predominantly constructed from solid mahogany and mahogany veneers, often accented with satinwood, boxwood, or rosewood stringing and marquetry. Upper sections feature glass panels set into wooden astragal glazing bars, accompanied by solid brass hardware such as hinges, escutcheons, and lever locks.

Authentic Maple & Co furniture frequently features a stamped makers mark or an engraved metal plaque inside drawers or along door edges. In addition to branding, authentic pieces exhibit precise cabinetmaking techniques, high-quality timber selections, well-fitted joinery, and smooth action on original locks and hinges.

A corner cabinet efficiently utilises underused corner spaces in dining rooms, living rooms, or hallways. Modern styling involves placing ceramic collections, glassware, or books behind the glazed doors, allowing the dark mahogany frame to contrast against contemporary light-toned walls.

Clean timber surfaces by wiping with a soft, dry microfibre cloth, and periodically apply a high-grade beeswax polish to preserve the finish and nourish the wood. Keep the cabinet away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent veneer movement or timber fading, and clean the glass using a dedicated glass cleaner applied directly to the cloth rather than the wood.
