Description

A rare James Macintyre Florian Ware Vase in the “Poppy and Leaf” pattern by William Moorcroft, circa 1898 - 1905

A superb squat bulbous vase delicately decorated with finely tube-lined sprays of blue flowers against a light blue background between panels of fleur-de-lys.

In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some very fine typical age related crazing which does not detract.

The base contains the early James Macintyre Florian Ware mark in brown with hand-painted William Moorcroft signature in green with 'des' below, together with pattern registration number: 326468.

Height: 14 cm

Diameter (at base): 8 cm
