Antique English Sterling Silver Heart Picture Frame - 1902

Description

A very romantic photo frame with embossed and pierced or reticulated English sterling silver mounted to the front. A beautiful floral repousse decoration interspersed with scroll work; the top has a large vacant cartouche which could be engraved by your silversmith should you desire. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 making this an early Edwardian example. The makers mark is also present; S star B into two conjoined circles for Synyer & Beddoes - Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes.

The backing is red leather and stands on it's original folding leather easel stand.

The front is glazed to protect your cherished picture with the aperture measuring 5" tall x 3 3/4" across.

Excellent condition (tiny bump to cartouche), measuring 7" x 5".
