This charming piece features a high back with an unusual arrangement of five raised and fielded panels set between moulded rails and mullions, giving it real presence and character.The slightly sloped backrest, straight open arms and shaped vertical supports create a welcoming, comfortable seat. The settle retains its original single-panel elm seat, made from a magnificent wide elm board with rounded edges, set over a straight frieze and standing on simple square block feet.
