Marlborough Antiques & Interiors has dated this Chippendale Revival Wall Mirror to the 1900s.
The frame retains a wonderful deep reddish mahogany tone with beautifully shaped corners and flowing pierced ornament throughout. Particularly attractive is the contrasting shell inlay to the lower apron, adding an additional decorative flourish typical of high-quality late Victorian revival furniture inspired by 18th century English design. The mirror retains bevelled edge glass which displays gentle age and character, complementing the warmth and richness of the mahogany frame beautifully. An elegant and highly decorative piece, ideal for a hallway, drawing room, bedroom or cloakroom interior.

Condition: Good antique condition overall with age-related wear consistent with age and use. Minor surface marks and light wear to the frame. The mirror plate displays some light foxing and age-related character. Later hanging wire to the reverse.
