Description

A very fine pair of early 20th Century well figured burr walnut serpentine fronted bedside cabinets of exceptional quality and beautifully hand carved with stunningly rich patination, grain and crossbanded panels with delicate line inlay throughout. The moulded top of rectangular form with a reeded border edge is surmounted with a deep serpentine gallery back above a single drawer frieze with a well cast brass pull with foliate and beaded row motif detail. Raised over a storage area and a single cupboard door with featuring another decorative brass escutcheon and key above a serpentine frieze, terminating on elegant stylised onion foot with gadroon carved detailing.
