138 X 218cm Fine Antique Khamseh 'Bird Rug'

Description

From Southern Persia comes this lovely 'Bird Rug' which is, as the name implies, covered in chickens and/or peacocks. A really good example in full pile, original condition and beautiful natural dyes. The eye is pulled continuously around this little rug, hopping from one bird to the next. My favourites are the green birds with the light blue wings, or maybe the red birds with the green wings,.... Which is your favourite...? :)
