Antique Silver Pin Cushion - Piano Stool

A beautifully crafted antique sterling silver pin cushion, designed as a piano stool complete with cabriole legs and decorated handles.
 
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1909 with the maker''s mark of Clark & Sewell. The top features the original cushion, rather worn and flaking away. The cushion is removable and opens to reveal a storage box containing a second cushion, this one with a faded silk cover. It is wonderful to find such an item in its original state.
