A fine antique French Louis XV style daybed, beautifully crafted in walnut with elegant giltwood and gilt metal decoration throughout.

The shaped headboard and footboard are decorated with finely detailed floral and ribbon motifs, with the footboard centred by an ornate basket of flowers inlaid design. Raised on elegant cabriole style feet with decorative carved detailing, this piece displays exceptional French craftsmanship and refined proportions.

Designed to sit against a wall, the daybed features one plain side rail intended for wall placement, allowing the decorative carved side to remain fully visible within an interior setting.
