Vintage 0.73 Carat Old Cut Diamond & Sapphire, Circa 1960

Description

A unique, highly detailed, and extremely pretty diamond ring. The centre stone - weighing a known 0.73 carat - is secured within a hexagonally shaped setting, and is flanked on either side by two elongated trillion cut synthetic sapphires (synthetic accent stones were common in this era). The incredibly intricate filigree metal work in the gallery leads to a slender 18k white gold shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old European cut diamond, and trillion cut sapphires.

Colour:  The diamond is H.

Clarity:  The diamond is SI2. The sapphires are eye-clean.

Carat:  The diamond is 0.73 carat. Each sapphire is approximately 0.10 carat.

Circa:  1960.

Size:  L (UK) or 5 1/2 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The diamond is approximately 5.61 x 5.77mm. The ring is 8.65mm at the widest point and sits 6.2mm from the finger.

Weight:  2.67 grams.

Metal:  18k white gold. Stamped 18K and tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer to confirm.
