S and S Timms Antiques Ltd has dated this Regency Mahogany Lamp Table to the 19th Century.
A very attractive, well made, little georgian occasional, or side table, which is perfect for a whole variety of different spaces around the home with a lamp, or photo frames, or anything else which one desires perched upon it.
The slide may well have originally had an upholstered storage bag attached to the bottom of it, but we think its mcuh more elegant in design and useful in function as it is now.
The table has clearly been constructed in a high level workshop, boasting superbly figured mahogany veneers and has real elegance to it. The legs are very fine and the original brass castors which they terminate on are again of very high quality.
Overall the table is in good, functional condition and is a great little size. It comes with working lock and key and there are no structural defects or major historical damage to speak of, just the expected old marks which have blended into the surface which one would expect to find on an item which is around 200 years old.
As with all items which we offer for sale it has been inspected in our workshops, by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers, who have ensured that it is in tip top condition, including a lovely natural wax polish, before being offered for sale.
