Superb E 19thc Cast Iron Minature Fire Surround

Description

A rare and superb early 19thc minature " salesman sample" of an ornate cast iron fire surround.

Probaly just post georgian c1830 and from the midlands coalbrookdale is a distict possibility.

It measures 28cms l ht22cms 8cms d.

It has a latin inscription over the fireplace which is difficult to make out but we think it is "dieu et mo droe"?

In original condition it has a very slight gap on the top crest which we dont know is a split or is intentional.
