Description

A stylish and rather eccentric English button-upholstered armchair.

An intriguing fusion of Victorian design and Victorian opulence, the square-ish back has shades of Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona chair, the legs are of typically Aesthetic Movement design.

Seat height 43cm

Structurally solid with quite a bouncy seat- (the springs are laid on a later board, presumably when last re-upholstered). The silk fabric probably needs replacing-it's tired overall with isolated marks and wear, uniformly sun-faded and originally pink! The ebonised finish has been refreshed in places.
