An 18th-century Italian giltwood table mirror, often referred to as a toilet or dressing mirror, is a freestanding decorative glass mounted on a carved wooden base, designed for placement on a dressing table or chest of drawers. Popular during the Baroque and Rococo periods, these mirrors featured elaborate carved scrollwork and leaf motifs heavily influenced by Italian classical design.
