Antique 18ct Gold Sapphire Ruby Ring

Unusual Antique 18ct Gold Sapphire Ruby. This is a unique and unusual ring featuring a large natural sapphire cabochon of approximately 11mm x 7mm in a claw setting. The sapphire of wonderful colour with natural pastel and violet shades within it as well as natural straitions of the stone. Besides this are four rubies measuring approximately 3mm each and set in a bezel setting. The ring has a good weight to it and the stones are well set on a good strong band hallmarked for 18ct. This piece could well be 1920s or earlier. This ring is in generally good condition with a strong band. There are some natural flaws to the polished sapphire stone which include a couple of tiny pits as well as a chip to one of the rubies, both of which are quite difficult to see with the naked eye.
