Description

A 19th Century Bust of Minerva.

Showing the Goddess wearing a feather plumed dolphin motif helmet, as she looks slightly to her right, her long flowing hair meeting her robe and bodice, centre by a brooch of Jupiter. The bust raised up on a concave pedestal, with marbleized decoration. The rear impressed twice 'MINERVA'.

Date c 1830.
