The 8-day, precision fusee mechanism is marked G.B.E for Grimshaw, Baxter and Elliott (1909-1921). They later became the Elliott clock company from 1923.
Most sector clocks are for the WW2 period, this is the rarest of all being circa 1920. This was just after the RAF was formed from the Royal Flying Corps (RFC).
These Sector clocks are arguably the most famous, designed with a specialized dial to assist air traffic controllers and fighter command in monitoring the movement of aircraft. They were crucial during the Battle of Britain.
