Antique Silver Hunter Cyma Pocket Watch, Jw Benson

Description

Antique silver half hunter Cyma pocket watch for J W Benson.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, Cyma calibre 938a, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all three covers for London 1937 with a sponsor’s mark for J W Benson. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals. There is a minor indentation to the front cover, and unevenness to the back of the watch.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition too with blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
