Description

A fine George III oak clerks desk.

Constructed in oak with 4 full depth drawers each with the original 'Unpickable' Bramah locks, 124 Piccadilly - London.

Raised on 4 tall chamfered legs and brass casters, joined by turned stretchers an a shaped bottom tier. The side shelves drop down when not required for use.

The underside has the ink mark ST,JS maybe referring to St James's London.

Possibly used in a Gentleman's club in the area perhaps?
