Collinge Antiques has dated this Painted Mahogany Display Cabinet to the Edwardian era.
Raised on a stand with two drawers in the front, the square tapering legs jointed with a shaped stretcher shelf. Exceptional Adams style hand painted decoration across the piece featuring oval panels of musical instruments, fruit and flowers surrounded with trompe l'oeil pearls, scrolling foliage, flower garlands, harebells and laurel leaves. Note also the little cameos flanking the doors and the Classical vase motifs at the top of each leg. With a large maker's stamp inside the left hand drawer. Some marks to the lining fabric, which could be replaced if required. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
