A fine portrait miniature by William Naish (1767-1800) of a young lady in lace. Naish was born in Axbridge, Somerset, and practised with much success in London. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1783 until his death in 1800. His portrait of Morton, the dramatist and Mrs Twisleton, the actress were engraved by Ridley for the monthly Mirror.

This beautiful portrait shows the fine work Naish was capable of and it is hard to believe how detailed it is.
