19th C Ormolu Cup

Description

A 19th C ormolu covered cup, the body with Coat of Arms, above a reeded banding with Bacchanalian masks, birds, grapes and vines below, the double scrolled handles decorated in acanthus scrolls and flower heads, the reeded banding repeated to the collar and standing on a spreading foot with further acanthus leaf and flower head decoration. The lid with repeated banding and flower decoration, with a ramshead and flower head finial.
