Art Deco 0.84 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1935

1920 - 1940
Description

An expertly crafted late Art Deco diamond ring. The old European cut natural diamond in the centre is securely set in a platinum box collet, with beautifully defined step-down shoulders set with 14 (seven each side) eight-cut diamonds.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old European cut in the centre. The sides stones are eight-cuts.

Colour:  The centre is I. The side stones are H to I.

Clarity:  The centre is SI2. The side stones are VS2 to SI1.

Carat:  The centre is 0.84 carat, with a further approximate 0.05 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:  1935.

Size:  N (UK) or 6 1/2 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The diamond is approximately 6.15 x 6.35mm. The head of the ring is 6.95 x 7.1mm and sits 5.6mm from the finger.

Weight:  5.52 grams.

Metal:  Platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
