Description

This pair of early 19th Century mahogany cabinets have brass wire mesh panels and glazed doors, crossbanded tops, carved button & bobbin edging and stand on interesting deer feet.

Each have working locks, internally there is a single shelf and the pair are in excellent condition.

Originally the doors would have had the wire mesh panel backed with silk, but at some point the material has been replaced by glass, which allows the contents to be seen, so possibly they have been used in the past as bookcases.
