Description

A delightful small Victorian walnut duchess dressing table, dating to circa 1870, of elegant form and excellent quality.

Constructed in finely figured walnut, the piece displays rich, warm tones and attractive grain throughout. The serpentine-fronted base is fitted with a central drawer, while the superstructure above features an arrangement of small jewel drawers, offering both charm and practical storage.

The original adjustable mirror is set within a shaped frame and supported by beautifully carved scroll uprights, giving the piece a distinctive and decorative silhouette typical of the period.

Raised on turned and carved supports, united by a shaped platform base and fitted with original castors, the table is both sturdy and easy to position.

The piece is in good antique condition, with a few light marks consistent with age and use, adding to its authenticity and character.
