French 18 ct Yellow gold (not stamped) bracelet or bangle, total weight 26.9 grams. The snake is realistically fashioned with scales to the head and ruby eyes. He even has a tongue! The body is jointed to be flexible and spring loaded so the bracelet is very variable in size from 5cms to 9 cms internal diameter. The main body is 6mm wide and 3mm thick. The serpents head is approx. 10.4 mm wide. There is a Brevete mark stamped (Patented) and a safety chain is fitted. This bracelet is typical of Victorian Jewels with a keen interest in fascinating creatures.
