Ritas Bazaar has dated this Japanese Kutani Porcelain Ewer to the 19th Century.

The decoration is executed in iron-red enamels with gilding, arranged in reserves against a dense ground in the traditional Kutani aka-e manner, with kacho-ga motifs of birds and flowering branches.
Mark: Kutani, red script ?? , indicating it was made in Kutani.

A well-executed Kutani ewer with strong decorative presence and clear collector appeal.
