Description

A London bracket mantel clock. A drumhead design with applied scrolled foliate decorations. Choice flame mahogany veneers to the case. A cast brass bezel with convex glass. A painted dial with blued steel hands and a brass hand for the rarer feature of alarum. An 8-day duration fusee mechansim with pull cord on demand alarum. Circa 1845.

The Haswell family of clockmakers worked in London from 1839-1881.
