A delightful antique pair of silvered bronze figures depicting dancing musicians in the manner of Émile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin, signed “Callot”. These finely sculpted jesters capture a wonderful sense of movement, joy, and expression, each posed mid-dance with animated gestures and characterful faces.
The quality of modelling is evident in the detailed costumes and lively composition, making them highly decorative and engaging display pieces. Each figure is raised on an elegant serpentine marble pedestal base, which complements the silvered finish beautifully.
Condition:
Good antique condition with age-related wear to the silvered surface, adding to their authentic character. One marble base has been previously cracked and professionally repaired, remaining stable. Both figures are signed to the base.
