Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The attention to detail is what make these IWC watches stand out from other manufacturers.
This is considered by watchmakers to be one of the most well built and reliable automatic movements ever made.

The seconds hand is domed along its whole length meaning that from any angle the light reflects along its centre line, these are very difficult to make, everyone else just used standard flat topped seconds hands

The linen texture dial is original, perfect and unblemished. it has had no restoration.
It has the rare water resistant reference 810 stainless steel case with armoured glass. its in mint condition.
This is one of the most hard wearing vintage watches you can buy, it will put up with a lot of abuse and still keep going.

The diameter of the case is 34mm without the winding crown
The serial number dates this watch to 1969-70, this would have been one of the very last calibre 854 movements ever made
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.

IWC are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class indeed this is one of the best examples we have ever had, a rare find.

We can fit any colour or style of strap you prefer
The watch has just been fully serviced. It has been fully authenticated and found to be a genuine IWC in all respects and comes with a one year warranty.
