Description

This original Great Northern Railway Lampman's carrying yoke which is made of wood is stamped with GNR, dates from the first half of the 20th century and would have been used by a lampman to carry railway lamps.

This great looking antique yoke is hand painted with L & NER Scopwick so would have then been used by London North Eastern Railway at Scopwick station near Lincoln.

It would have originally had chain attached to hook onto the lamps.

A nice decorative piece for the home, bar, restaurant, hotel or a nice decorative antique piece for a railway enthusiast.

Material: Wood.

Date: First half of the 20th century.

Dimensions: Length: 92 cm (36"). Width: 18 cm (7"). Depth: 7 cm (2 3/4").

Weight: 1150 g.

Condition: Very good used original antique condition with age related wear and tear giving a wonderful decorative look. Some chips, scratches and general wear. Please see pictures.
