Bedsteads has dated this French Mahogany King Bed to the 1910s.
With cherrywood inlay with lovely rounded corners on the lead end, and square shaping on the foot end.

The bed has fluted posts on both head and foot with decorative brass caps and absolutely stunning ormolu in the shape of draped fabric, a truly gorgeous bit of brass work.
The head end has a long strip of ormolu with ribbon and foliate figuring, very beautiful indeed.

All in all, a truly stunning bed and a fabulous example of the skilled craftsmanship of the era. We have cleaned, restored and extended the siderails to ensure a beautiful, solid and sturdy bed. This bed is suitable for a UK modern King size mattress 150cm x 200cm.

Whole bed has been checked and sympathetically restored to ensure solid, sturdy construction and good assembly.
