Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Regency Convex Giltwood Mirror to the 19th Century.
The frame is surmounted by a well-carved and expressive spread-wing eagle perched upon a rocky outcrop, a classic motif of the Regency period symbolising strength and vigilance.

The lower section is decorated with carved scrolling acanthus ornament, balancing the composition and enhancing its decorative appeal.
The surface retains a good mellow gilt finish with some natural wear and patina consistent with age, adding to its authenticity and charm.
