Antique English Sterling Silver Napkin Ring - Boxed - 1904

Description

A handsome Edwardian napkin ring made from a good gauge of English sterling silver, weighing 1.22 Troy Ounces or 37.9 Grams.

Top and bottom rims are decorated with thick rope edging and the body beautifully engraved with a delightful floral and foliate panel. There is a vacant cartouche at the front which of course could be engraved by your silversmith should you wish to personalize it.

The silver is hallmarked (rubbed but legible) for London 1904, the makers initials are also present, R.S. for the silversmith, for Robert Stebbings.

The ring comes with a box, from a Johannesburg silversmith.

Excellent condition, the ring measures 1 1/4" thick with a diameter measuring 1 7/8".
