A very good and large English oak armchair of good colour and patina. Finely carved with a tall cresting rail in a stylised foliate design, the back panel with a carved lozenge highlighted with ‘Yorkshire’ flying ribbons.
Original timbers and pegs throughout, original seat boards. Excellent colour and condition. Front legs with small addition/re-tipped.
The chair is large, capacious, comfortable and has a truly excellent rich and naturally developed colour and patination. Robust, heavy, usable and original.
