Philip Hunt Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The desk features an arrangement of seven mahogany-lined drawers to the front, including a double-depth filing drawer to the lower right-hand side, offering practical storage. Each drawer is fitted with traditional brass swan-neck handles.

The reverse is fully finished and equally functional, with two cupboard doors opening to reveal interior shelving—ideal for use as a freestanding centrepiece.
The sides are elegantly detailed with astragal mouldings, adding architectural interest and depth.

The rectangular top is inset with a green leather writing surface, decorated with hand-applied gilt and blind tooling, providing both durability and a refined aesthetic.
For ease of transport and installation, the desk is constructed in three sections.
