A beautiful large German 835 solid silver bowl with cover. It is hallmarked with the 835 silver standard mark, the German state marks, a makers mark and a retailers name Oscar Stodt. I would date it to c1910-1920. It has been superbly made having a hand planished Arts & Crafts design and is in superb condition, having no dings splits or repairs, natural shrinkage crack to the finial see final photo. It measures approx. 7.5 inches (19cms) across and 5.5 inches tall and weighs an impressive 470 grams. A stunning example.
