Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The set consists of a pair of fire irons, poker, tongs and a shovel.
The attention to detail is quite staggering, the shovel has fine fretwork and all have the most beautiful decoration to the handles.
It has been professionally restored with the brass being bright and crisp whilst retaining the patina which you would expect, it is also extremely heavy.
It is rare to find a set in such amazing condition.
A genuine Victorian companion set in the classic and elegant design which would look stunning placed in front of a period fireplace.
