Large Antique Parcel Gilt Overmantle Mirror C1860

Description

A very fine and well proportioned Gothic Revival parcel gilt overmantel mirror dating from 1860.

The finely made frame has all the hallmarks of Augustus Pugin and his son Edwards architectural style.

Retaining it's original water-gilded highlights and off white paintwork, all in wonderful overall condition.

The original mirror plate is in good overall condition with only very light foxing. Original backing board.

Sizes. 165.5 cm wide at top, 154.5 cm wide at base, 138 cm tall.
